      Agreed! That big ole right handed berm just sets you up for such a great pull to the top of the pass. I might need to re-film this with more GoPro Stabilization; the shaky-ness kills me haha.

    Figures I'm posting on something that is 5 years old lol. Its a bummer that more snowboarding companies wouldn't assist with your reviews! I do hope your father is doing well and is still able to get out there! This review was perfect for someone like myself (44 y/o). It's puzzling that snowboarding in general does not seem to be open to the 'mature' snowboarder demo. From what I have seen, the sport needs to mature in general. If not, it will continue to be looked at as kid/teen novelty sport and continue to decelerate in popularity :(

    *This ride is a rocket!➣>>**allmy.tips/LibSnowboard?ぬu ** The hybrid design makes it feel like a progressive edge. When I'm going straight or soft turns it feels like a rocket but when I want to lay into a turn the edges bite and carves like a camber, the magne-traction does really help in icy areas.*

    This is amazing... I found a mint but used snowboard.... ride 2015-16 machete gt for sale... it’s 160cm and I’m more into freestyle all mountain that’s why I think of looking into this. I’m worried it may be too tall for me but I like the price of around $300 with bindings. Previous owners boot is a 10 mine is a 8.5 Would u recommend this board for me and would I need new bindings if my boot is 8.5?

    • @CamSaleFilmDept
      @CamSaleFilmDept 5 лет назад

      Hey Ryan, thanks so much man! Sizing can be tough, and since you didn't mention how tall you are, it's hard for me to say if it'll work for ya. The price sounds great, just be sure to check the board out for core shots and inspect the edges/rails of the board. If the previous owner's bindings are a Medium I'd image you'll have no trouble there. Let me know if you end up getting it! Thanks again.

      Have a blast out there! I can't recall and particularity tough sections, although I would say that could change drastically if the passes are wet (recently rained or snow!), or if the creek crossings get really deep (although that's less likely). I'd just always ride within your ability (goes for the paved stuff too) and relax, be confident and crush it!

    Great video. I liked how you showed us the route and gave commentary at the same time. I feel this is something I need to do. I have a 2014 R1200GSA and is was great seeing that another GS (although 1100) could easily do the route. So you are planning another ride with a larger group, have you done that yet? Any chance others could join you?

      Hey Bill, thanks for the kind words man! We thought there was too much "sitting on the couch and talking" footage haha, but that'll be different on the next video. Yes, you're right about the bike; It's much more about the rider than the equipment. We haven't really considered a large group ride since the planning/logistics side of things would be real tough, but you never know!

      Ciao Davide, thanks for the comment. I think "aggressive" just means "stiff" when it comes to snowboarding. This board is great to help you initiate turns and hold that edge throughout the turn but it's not great for buttering and tail/nose presses. Hope that helps!

    Great review. One good solid aggressive do anything board... Absolutely on same page. I rip around on a ride berzerker 167w. Aggressive, amazing everywhere, absolutely solid through anything. If you get the chance to ever try one, don't hesitate! However, it's directional, and for a long time I've been eyeing up and considering the machete gt to have an aggressive twin for a second board. Your review sold me on the idea. Thanks! Good moves.

    • @CamSaleFilmDept
      @CamSaleFilmDept 6 лет назад

      Hey Drew, I think my problem was with how the arms were set. The camera was balanced really well at first, but in the wrong place if that makes sense...I think the center of gravity was off a bit, but I re-balanced and it seems to be doing much better. It hasn't done that twitching thing yet, which is great. Thanks for watching!

  • @joonanieminen9205
    @joonanieminen9205 6 лет назад

    Very nice video of the feiyu gimbal and snowboarding this mountain. But there might be something wrong with your export settings because there's these "mice-teeth" lines visible in fast motion which is happening because of interlacing. I'm not sure about this gimbal because I have the previous model Feiyu mg lite, but if the gimbal is shaking it might be not just about the balancing. It helped a lot for me when I adjusted the motors properly in the application and shakes went away. Keep on filming, I'd love to see some snowboarding action and especially those beautiful mountain views & sunsets.

    • @CamSaleFilmDept
      @CamSaleFilmDept 6 лет назад

      Hey Joona, I think you're dead-on about the interlacing. That's something that's crept up on me in past videos but I didn't catch it this time. Thanks for pointing it out! And I did re-balance the gimbal from scratch and that helped a lot. I just didn't have the center of gravity in the right place, but it's much better now. I just used it on some high-end real estate and it was solid! Hopfully posting some more park/freeriding videos soon also, stay tuned :)

      You and me both! My Dad reached out to Ride today actually and we're trying to get a few more boards to test this winter! Thanks for watching. -Cam

      Great! Hopefully manufacturers and retailers will see the same potential in these :)

    I will definitely try the Machete GT and the War Pig (but in a small) as I am slightly shorter and lighter with smaller boot since I have a lot more days in a year to play around. As for older riders like me, I hear the Jones Mountain Twin and the Jones Ultra Mountain Twin for their dampness and aggressiveness. I heard promising things about the upcoming Jones Mind Expander as a versatile powder/all mountain/ freestyle board. Also check out the website Old Guys Rip Too

      Hey Stephen thanks for the suggestions man! I'll be sure my Dad check's out the Jones's models for sure. We haven't looked much into those but I'm sure they're high quality and great for older riders. Thanks for the website too, haven't heard of that one until now.
